Where It All Began....
My name is Clinton Terry from Auckland, New Zealand. I was born in Bega Australia to Kiwi parents and at 18 months old my family brought me home to New Zealand. When I was 2 years old I had a severe allergic reaction to penicillin, which resulted in me losing my eye sight. This never stopped me fighting to achieve my goals !!
At the age of 19 I started Olympic wrestling. I lost my first 40 fights without scoring a single point but never gave up. After many years and a lot of help I won my first national title in 2007. After that I went on to win 10 national titles and quite a few International titles.
In 2014 I started training Jiu Jitsu under Professor Pedro Fernandes, founder of Tu Kaha Jiu Jitsu NZ, and loved it. All my belts have been earned under Professor Pedro and currently I am a ranked brown belt. With the help of professor Pedro and my Tu Kaha family I have been blessed to have a successful Jiu Jitsu career, and pray for many more competitions to come.
